Gabe b. b.
Every inch of the Surface 2021

Audio duration:  06:08 min.
Photographs, variable.

Whilst the artist was working, Gabe b. b. packed a bag and slipped into a parallel existence. Travelling alone, they spent nights enveloped in the starched bed linen of rented rooms, mixed drinks on pull-down ironing boards and annotated homemade maps on hotel stationary.
During this foray into a new timeline, they pondered the merits of an alternate trajectory, finding a place in which the past, present and future collide in a single moment. They envisaged the ghost forms of maybes and dove headlong into the non-ticking of queer time. This is the practice of desire enacted in space.
